The Vault Solo
The Vault Solo is the only dedicated solo exhibition space at Bank Art Gallery. Located within the gallery’s historic vault, this space is reserved for a single artist selected by the gallery for a focused presentation.
Each Vault Solo is artist-conceived and thematically self-defined. The selected artist is invited to present a cohesive body of work that reflects their voice, process, and point of view, offering visitors a rare opportunity to step fully into one artist’s world.
Vault Solo exhibitions are presented as one-month installations. This limited duration reinforces the intimacy of the space and allows for a concentrated viewing experience that feels deliberate and time-specific.
Unlike rotating wall placements, The Vault Solo is intentional and focused. It is not a survey or a collection of highlights, but a carefully considered moment that allows for depth, clarity, and storytelling.
Artists are selected based on the strength of their work, their ability to engage the space thoughtfully, and the overall resonance of the proposed presentation. While the theme is determined by the artist, the gallery provides curatorial guidance to ensure the exhibition maintains a professional, cohesive, and respectful dialogue with the vault itself.
The Vault Solo represents a pinnacle presentation within the gallery’s living exhibition model. It is a space for focus, reflection, and meaningful connection between artist, artwork, and viewer.
